Day 5 of BPA 3010
Hello everyone! Today is November 9, 2017, and it is Day 5 of BPA 3010. Today was a very easy but productive day in labs. My partner and I got in around 6am this morning and got right to work. My group started off with the Pumpkin Chocolate Brioche that we were supposed to make that day. Two of my group member were in-charge of mixing the dough, another group member was in-charge of making the chocolate glaze, and I made the pumpkin pastry cream. When making the pastry cream I had noticed something was wrong with the mix after I had taken it off the stove and put the butter in. It wasn't as thick as the pastry cream should have been. I read over the directions and made sure I included all the ingredients. Turns out I should have included the cornstarch in the pastry cream. Since my eggs were already over cooked, I wasn't able to add the cornstarch by then leading me to make another batch. Making another batch did take time away from my rooster which I was a little disappointed...
